Art Threads Competition: Winston Churchill
This project was to design a commemorative lable and box to mark the 50th anniversary of Churchill’s death and celebrate his legacy. Maison Pol Roger, 44 Avenue de Champagne, was proclaimed “the world’s most drinkable address” by Sir Winston Churchill, a man of impeccable taste perhaps best illustrated by his enthusiasm for Pol Roger champagne. To have more visual impact I used a sleever instead of label of the Union flag to reinforce Churchills impact on Britain in the 20th Century. This is mirrored in the box detailing.
